Strikes continue between the countries but no escalations from previous nights. The world waits to see if USA will get directly involved by conducting strikes on Iran’s most fortified nuclear facility.

If USA joins the war directly, the most likely scenario is use of the B2 Bomber to strike Iran’s nuclear facility named Fordow which was built hundreds of feet under a mountain. The B2 would be used to deliver the GBU-57E – a 30,000lb bomb labeled a Massive Ordnance Penetrator and is likely the world’s strongest non-nuclear bomb.

The “Mother of All Bombs” was the 22,000lb last generation model of this bomb. In Trump’s first term, General Mattis used it to cave in an ISIS complex in the mountains of Afghanistan.

B2 Spirit Stealth Bomber

The B2 Spirit is the only aircraft in the world designed to deliver the 30,000lb GBU-57 E. According to Robert Pape in an article with ForeignAffairs, it will most likely take 2 GBUs to successfully destroy the Fordow nuclear facility.
